Due to the successful re-certification according to DIN EN 9120, MEV continues to strengthen its position in the aviation industry. The aviation standard DIN EN 9120 is based upon the ISO 9001 standards series and comprises more extensive requirements especially adapted to the needs of the aerospace industry. In September 2002, the MEV quality management system was successfully certified according to the DIN ISO 9001:2000 standards for the first time. Since then, the MEV QM system has continuously been developed. Customer requirements are constantly being integrated into the development process.
In November 2009, both standards were audited and re-certified at MEV in one procedure. The auditors of the TÜV Rheinland group could convince themselves of the smooth and exemplary operating procedures in our company complying with the strict specifications.
According to MEV Marketing Manager Wiho Herkenhoff, "the certification of the QM system for the aerospace industry endorses our focus on this important market segment and strengthens our business relationship with our renowned customers in that industry".
