This microsystem is a fully calibrated pressure sensor with signal conditioning in one surface mounted package based on JEDEC SO20. The sensor is surrounded by the package and covered by gel against environments.

The absolute pressure sensor microsystem is a space and cost saving product for low and high volume applications.

The piezo-resistive sensor bridge converts the applied pressure into a signal which is detected by an analog instrumentation amplifier. The signal path up to the output is fully analog and characterized by a huge response time.

The gain and offset compensation is done by a digital circuit. The on-chip temperature is digitized by an 11 Bit ADC, and combined with the on-chip stored calibration data. The embedded hardware fits the temperature information and transforms the data through an 11 Bit DAC to correct the transfer function.

A pressure change has a typical signal change at the output after 100 µs.
